Springs are specified using the car's VIN and takes into account options fitted. Far simpler to approach the dealer's parts dept and get them to order up the correct springs.

Would recommend changing both sides if the car has done a good few miles...

Been on to dealers, quoted £50.00 + vat per spring. Euro are doing Sachs for £82.00 the pair with there discount, now it's cheek but has anyone got access to ecp please as there are three different types for my car. Dealer sourced them from colour code on springs white white blue. Was reluctant to give me part number, so was hoping someone on forum could help. My vin is WDB211 0202B 249403 e280 cdi elegance. Thanks for any help.

According to EPC 1xblue, 2xwhite front spring shows part # A2113211404

SACHS list 6 front springs for the W211 they are all basically the same size but vary slightly according to coil OD and wire cross section altering their spring rate slightly. They have a 1blue 2 white coded one but be slightly wary of EPC who tend to stock one size [rating] fits all. If they can guarantee SACHS and the correct colour code then fine but they have been known to supply a "SACH's equivalent" citing stock availability in the past. You are safest with MB and bearing in mind you have to dismantle the front strut to install them that's the route I would chose- and you will do both sides obviously.

Should that be ECP?

Thanks all, stripped nearside out as per instructions on here. Easy enough next problem top ball joint knackered. Same again ecp are offering lemforder with good discount. Are these any good or should I stick with Mercedes ?

Got springs, but doubtful if there Sachs, part number on springs is 78026 T518128. Anybody got any idea what springs these are as in make. Thanks for any info.

DO THEY HAVE THE RIGHT COLOUR CODE? I did warn you about ECP- the only people who can tell you are the suppliers [ ECP] themselves. I suggest you phone them up.

I now know what you meant, will ring them but in future for a few quid more think I will stick with merc dealer, just for peace of mind. Lesson learned.

Try these people for ZF (Lemforder, Sachs etc) parts:

Best Auto Parts Store: cheap Car Parts buy direct online, Car Spares Shop

The company is actually Autodoc in Berlin, I came across them last year when ECP similarly messed be about with Sachs springs - the ones they were going to supply as Sachs were actually Lesjofors. Not a bad brand, but not what I ordered.

I have ordered from Autodoc 3 or 4 times now, real ZF parts and pricing and delivery have always been pretty good.
