W211 Upgrade Audio 20 to Command ?

<div class="bbWrapper">W211 E320 cdi 2004<br /> I want to upgrade the audio 20 with DVD and phone unit to command unit with SatNav.<br /> I think I may already have fibre cable but not sure.<br /> <br /> Is this is straight swap or is there coding / issues<br /> <br /> Any help would be appreciated</div>
 
<div class="bbWrapper">I've just changed my NTG 1 to NTG2.5 in My CLS. Have all the parts youo'd need (inc. HK amp) you would need new wiring harness Kabeldaviko supplied mine</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Not quite sure what cable you might have.. does your car have phone pre wiring ? I.e phone cradle in centre arm rest?<br /> <br /> I’d suggest that you’d go with a aftermarket unit if you want Latest maps etc</div>
 
<div class="bbWrapper">Yet again, get your VIN and call comand.co.uk, they can look up the build sheet for your car and not only advise what you have, but also recommend, supply and fit what you want. They're in Lightwater Surrey just off the M3 so not too far away - and they know more about MB ICE etc than MB main dealers! They'll also advise about aftermarket rather than MB Comand so you get something more up to date etc.</div>

Unfortunately Im in Edinburgh so they're not local to me.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I had the same unit as yours Audio 20 with (CD). Last year, I took the unit out and soldered auxiliary cable with 3.5 mm jack out of the unit. Insert a blank CD in my audio unit and play audio files via ipod or phone. For navigation I use my phone. That's the easiest and cheapest fix for your car. Google piping audio via cd for instructions.</div>
