W212 2014 E-Class Apple Car Play on Command ?

Hi all

Wondered if anyone knows if it's possible to add apple car play to the above model of car via the Mercedes app store etc ?

I have full command with the internal hard drive.

i have the Mercedes connector cable for the specific port in the car.

Your 2014 car will have COMAND NTG4.5 (or rather, the later model sometimes referred to as NTG4.7).

Unfortunately NTG4.5/4.7 does not have native support for Apple CarPlay.

There are 3rd party devices that mirror the iPhone screen to COMAND via the aux video port, some also add a touch screen, and can also trigger Apple CarPlay, but this will not be seamless.

Unrelated to Apple CarPlay, I would also recommend a firmware update for the COMAND unit, as well as maps update - the latest version is 2019 v18.
