Hi all,

Can someone tell me where the MAF sensor is located on a W212 220 cdi bluetec is?
Had the engine management light come with lack of ability to drop down gears with pedal as normal- seems something I can check and clean to see if it resolves the issue

Thanks

I would advise you not to throw parts at this problem.Take the car to an independent Mercedes-Benz specialist who can diagnose the fault properly . It will be cheaper in the long run.

Thanks, I’m just looking for things I can potentially resolve cheaply by myself first, my indie isn’t that much cheaper than the dealer!

Thanks, presume easy to remove and clean?
If it doesn't come off , remove the complete housing and spray maf cleaner from the inside. Screenshot_20230430-142143.png

Yes, as above, however, they rarely give issues on these engines.

Even if its with an Icarsoft etc, much better to read the codes and take it from there.

Thanks, I’ve ordered a code reader and like you said see what it says, funnily enough the fault resolved itself today but would still like to get to bottom of it
