W212 E350 Build "The Boat"

For anyone wondering i haven't forgotten about the old girl i still got a few things to fit and ive also ordered a carbon lip spoiler to replace the little black one thats on there now, also have the black e350 badge and black star to replace the chrome boot items when im ready.

Car also had an intermittent engine light popping on and off last week so had it looked at by my Mercedes specialist and they diagnosed it as a temperature sensor so she's re-booked back in to be fixed this Wednesday.

Had a quote for dpf "solution" and a remap for £900 by AC tuning which reckon they should get around 300-305hp and somewhere north of 710-720nm so i am very tempted....

I suggest you go for an adblue delete and remap. i have a 2011 mercedes s350 bluetec with an adblue delete and remap to 300-310hp. the performance improvement is amazing56A57DF9-0482-4A6C-B7AA-981FA382E9EC.jpeg03DF50BC-6758-4E9C-9E60-6329DD2332D2.jpeg

Yeah that was the plan to be honest, funny you say that as 2 days ago the adblue refill popped up on the dash £9 down and i still didn't see how much it filled, stupid after thought as well as its in the boot so its like trying to pee through a straw and ends up looking like the mens toilets at a nightclub at 3am

I had a similar problem filled the tank up and after 100miles said it needed filling up again. To be honest it’s best you delete the whole system electronically. no need to remove any physical parts and remap it and the gains will be amazing.

Hi,
Looking good!
In terms of lowering, I see you went 25 and 35, but what do you think you could of physically got away with? 35-45?

Hi and thanks she's getting there, i think 35/45 is defiantly doable and would sit flush to the edge of the tyres, it may rub under acceleration but i have got the 10mm spacers so if i took them off then im almost certain it wouldn't rub at all or even dropping tyre width down as its a 275 on the rear so it has a little stretch maybe 255 then you shouldn't have an issue, there's defiantly room there to go lower 100%, the only issue i have found though is the front undertray does catch tall speed bumps unless you go very slowly so another 10mm on the front may cause an issue, possibly..

Quick update

I've got bored of waiting for the gloss black amg grille to come back in stock its literally put everything on hold so ive ordered a gloss black panamericana gt grille along with a gloss black E63 rear diffuser with black tailpipes and a couple of other bits and pieces to finish the car off, in the time of waiting for the grille to come in stock about 2-3 weeks ago i did remove the gloss black spoiler that come on the car when i bought it and replaced it with a carbon accents lip spoiler (pictures soon) overall though I'm very happy with there carbon finish and product in general so i ordered there carbon mirrors to replace the gloss black ones on at the minute so a few jobs to do in the coming weeks.

Sounds great, looking forward to pics. :) 👍

I got the carbon spoiler and mirrors from Carbon Accents and the grille, diffuser and all the other bits and bobs like number plates, badges, wheel caps ect ect from sellers on ebay
Tidy. Cheers.

Been a busy last week or so fitting parts to the E, I've fitted the E63 rear diffuser, carbon mirrors, front grille, black badges all round and fitted some cleaner looking number plates, also gave it a good clean and wax, yeah a white car with black bits is a bit over done but still i think its looking good and im well happy with it so far :)

Next jobs on the list are a back box delete not that these sound any better than a glorified hetty with an exhaust but still it will give it a slight bit of noise to match that new back end, then i need to figure out if i want to colour code the grille surround and lower chrome trim on the front bumper or not, i don't want to make it gloss black but im sure the paint wont last if i colour code it, also it cant stay chrome so ill sleep on that and figure something out, wheels are going black and the callipers are being painted in amg's ceramic brake gold.

Looking good, the Black and White theme looks great. :)👍
Thank you :) i think the black wheels will be marmite granted it wont look as good as the diamond cut finish but i think it will work with the overall look of the car better so wish me luck lol plus the diamond cuts only look good when there clean which as you can appreciate isn't often in the country which is a shame.

OP - really like the dropped look a lot. Rear looks good........wonder if you need something on the right hand side to "mirror" the "E350".
