I'm contemplating getting a new undertray for my 2012 E350 diesel. I've noticed the front lip is damaged, which can make it a right PITA to refit into the back of the front bumper.
Plus, the rearmost clips/holes to secure to the gearbox undertray (or at least in that area) have obviously been snapped off in the past and are missing.
My undertray is A2125200223 and this is the single number listed on parts Merc diagram I have access to (and also my physical undertray has A2125202123 included on mine).
I've seen loads of undertrays for sale, but I notice on some reportedly genuine undertrays, they list various part numbers, including a list of part numbers listed on the part itself (see image below).
Eg:
A2125200223
A2125202123
A2125204123
A2125204923
Are any of these four part numbers suitable? Especially including the last two newer numbers?
I'd rather source a newer tray if possible.
Also note my older tray has a smooth lip at the front like this (bottom edge in this image):
But some of the other undertrays have some sticky out 'teeth' where it engages into the back of the bumper. Does this make any difference?
Also like the bottom edge in this image?
I'd imagine this might be the newer trays?
