W212 Rear Prop Coupling

Hi guys,

I require a replacement ‘rear prop coupling’ for my W212, MB directly are circa £180, and I’ve been advised that Febi/Meyle would be just as good. However there are multiple different kits available so I wish to ensure I get the correct one.

The part numbers kindly looked up for me by Pat are ‘A2044100215 to A2124100215 to A0004111000’ as the number has been superseded.


When cross referencing A2044100215 with Febi it comes up as the 31179 kit, but A0004111000 comes up with the 40216 kit. A2124100215 comes up with nothing.

The difference between the 31179 and 40216 kit seems quite considerable with them including a different number of bolts and the 31179 includes an extra ‘bush’...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best place to ask is a local Febi motor factors @merc85

They can check for fitment and the good thing is if there are any problems just go back to them.
I get a lot of parts of the local guys, many times I tell them the part I need after looking it up myself.
