Hi all, just to let you know that the Engineering Menu is possible to be activated with DTS Monaco.
I have done it myself on my own car.
If you are in East London I can do this for you...

hello, I would also like to activate it on my w213, it would be great if you can tell me how to do it. thanks. I am from Portugal

If you're able to activate the menu with Vediamo or DTS then you are able to code it from Vediamo or DTS so no need for the menu :-) I enabled it to play on one unit, but disabled it to prevent customer doing something silly with the unit later. We see enough messed up NTG5.5 units already .....

That makes complete sense and if I had mine done I’d have exactly as you mentioned. Problem is I don’t have access to Vediamo or DTS and was hoping someone would help.

Hi
Are you still available to help with this.
I've been looking everywhere for this and pressed many buttons on my eclass lol .

Thanks

If you are looking to activate (or add) Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, then www.comandonline.co.uk in Lightwater (M3 J3) can do this for you, email or call them for a quote.

Sounds better than activating engineering menus and trying all possible button combinations... :)

True. But DIY is free... while professionals (rightly) charge for their services.

I fully understand businesses need to make money, however charging extortionate rates for something it takes literally 2 minutes...
Carplay, Android auto...most cars already have the hardware...

If you swing by East London. takes 2 minutes and a coffee...However...be very carefull of what you change in the engineering menu.
In any case, I always save the full coding of the unit before changing anything, so no problem there.

Great offer, very kind of you.

As for businesses, they have to buy STAR, pay the annual subscription, not to mention pay rent and salaries etc. A 'two minute job' will often require a considerable expense for the business just to be in the position to provide it.

Not to diminish in anyway your kind gesture.

Don't disagree with what you said.
However, some things can be done by the hobbyists like me, helping out the fellow man/woman...being in just diagnostics, where the Stealer will charge you an arm and a leg just to scan the car or changing or enabling simple stuff.
The gear I have did also cost me money, however insignificant compared to a fully licensed Merc dealer or others, and also cost me a huge ammount of time to learn it , the difference is I am not a business, not in it for the money, im in it for what I can learn and also help others as much as I can...
The only payment I take is in the form of a double expresso or similar, lol.
