So her indoors was a bit over-enthusiastic when trying to open her window, and the button has dropped out of it's housing.
Can anyone give me a clue as to how I get access to it? Do I have to take the door card off or does the housing just lever (gently of course) out of the fitting.
I'm reluctant to get a screwdriver and try to lever it out without knowing what I am doing (although in fairness, that's usually where I start off!). Any ideas please? Thanks.

Need to remove the door trim with trim removal tools. Don't use a screwdriver as you will damage the paint/door card.

Thanks. We're just about to move house so that is a job that will have to wait for a while then.

I would take it back to mercedes and get them to fix it under warranty, there is no way that should be possible... unless she used a hammer to press the button!

Actually, you know what, that's an even better idea. It didn't cross my mind to do that, probably because we're in the middle of a house move which is rather stressful.

Thanks for the reminder, I will do that.

I have no doubt its stressful, that's why I haven't moved in 10 years and I choose to ignore the wifes suggestions of a bigger house
