Hello, everyone.....
I am still having trouble with the Airmatic suspension on my W220 S 500, on a "V"-Plate.
Initially, I had a saggy OSR corner, which dropped within an hour or two of switching the engine off...I have fitted a second-hand Valve Block, which seemd to initially do the trick , or, at least the back end sagged less quickly, staying nice and level for abour 36 hours before drooping..Whilst fitting the valve block, all, or most, of the air in the sysem leaked out, dropping the car to its knees all round.
Now, the car droops at all four corners, pretty much to the ground, within a few hours and certainly overnight, when not running.
Did somehting get damaged when I fitted the valve block and it dropped to its knees, or could it be that the valve block is also faulty (though i was assured it was a good, used one), or is there something else I should check first?
When driving, the pump comes on occasioanlly, but not all the time, like it did before I fitted the secondhand valve block.
To be honest, I am losing confidence in the car, and I am disappointed that such issues should arise on such an expensive (when new) car..mine has only covered 78k miles and I woud have thought this sort of thing should be less of a problem...
Any help would be greatly appreciated, please, before I start eyeing up Audi A8s
Thanks very much.
