Hi all
My 1999 W220 s320 passenger dipped beam has stopped working. The bulb is halogen and works when swapped to the drivers side, so something else is up, any idea what it could be?

I've read that there could be an issue with the SAM but cannot figure out where it is located.

Lots of the links I've seen for this problem seem dead these days, so was hoping to get some help here...

First fault ever in my family owned since new s320!

If the bulb checks out then it must be either power or grounding. Can you check the power at the connector with a voltmeter or test light?

Front SAM units are often under the bonnet in the engine bay, there are usually one in the boot space on one side (nearside usually in my last 2 Mercedes) and there may be a fuse box in the end of the dashboard.

Try to find a diagram of these on line or if you have it check the handbook.

Just checked on the car and the light is doing some weird stuff. Upon starting the car with auto lights on, the passenger dipped beam started working. Upon turning off and closing the car door, the locator lights (also the dipped beam) drivers side worked only, and again the passenger dipped beam stopped working. I started the car and received BAS, ESP and light faults lol, the battery is fully charged via my ctek.

Gotta be a SAM, right? Only thing is finding the damn thing

I have mentioned the likely locations.
