W221 S320 Red Light on AT

Hi All

The cars been running fine, FM/starSH, last service Nov 14.

Out of the blue when i went to start today I got a red 'stay in gear goto workshop' aka gear can't be selected.

I restarted about 3 times and then it just disappeared. The car drove home 20miles fine/smooth.

Is the AT level something I can check myself? I cant find it on the web/in manual.

If this doesn't crop up again in the next day or two would people be making an urgent workshop appointment or treating it as a possible one off?

My dad gets a similar message in his 08 S320 now and then. So far he has ignored it and just regard it has technical glitch. Its something like 'Vehicle not is position P'. Although, its a good idea to get the car hooked onto STAR just to see if any codes have been logged

That message is usually when a door is not closed properly and its in drive.
