Hi, i have recently purchased a S class W222 2018 350d. And I've just noticed when AC is switched on and set to a Low temperature, the driver's side vents seem to be able to go to around 16 but the passages side is still blowing out warm air. I have the car booked in for a Re-Gas this weekend but was wondering if anyone else has any ideas what this might be? I've seen a few posts and a possibility of it needing bleeding but I'm just a bit unsure what that entails. Thanks

If one side is cold then a regas should make little if any difference.

A/C doesn't require "bleeding".

The air temperature is changed by blending cool or warm air. There are motorised flaps that move to blend the air and to distribute it as required.

You may have a fault with this part of the HVAC system. There should be fault codes.

Do you have a Mercedes specialist that could investigate?

Get the garage that sold the car to sort the fault .

Thanks for your advice, you have given me something to think about and I can definitely see how it can be down to the HVAC system. I'll get it booked into a garage. Thanks

Hello and welcome.

Most modern MB's have an HVAC 're set' that can be done from the dashboard by the owner. The function basically 're homes' the various flap driver motors.

Google is your friend or someone on here might have the answer to that , I did mine just the other day on my 2006 W203 C class, probably not much point in talking you through the procedure for mine as it might be very different to your car.
