So I have a front panel in the front of the pano roof that has discoloured and also has a crack thanks to a disgruntled neighbour! The part is expensive enough at €580+VAT but to fit my local dealer is telling me it needs the windscreen to come out in order to fit and therefore I also have to buy a new windscreen. Sounds off to me (this dealer has had a habit of charging me waaaay too much for stuff), but I was hoping the collective hive brain that is MBClub might be able to confirm if this is a tear off and glue back on job for just the panel or if the dealer might be correct? If the windscreen does need to come out to fit, surely we could just pop the old screen back in? I want to sell the car and do not want to spend nearly €2000 euros to replace this bloody panel.
