Hi, grateful if someone could explain the difference between the W253 / C253 / X253 codes.
I believe the C253 represents the coupe?
I want to order something online.
My VIN begins WDC253xxxxxx and the vehicle is a GLC 250 d 4MATIC AMG Line 2018. SUV, not coupe.
Many thanks.

Traditionally, W was for saloons, S for estates, C for coupes and X for something else (my CLS Shooting Brake is an X).

If you want to order parts online, just use your own VIN, then you know it will fit, or at the very least you'll have a reason for a refund if it doesn't.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
That's useful. Although now I'm wondering what the difference between an estate and a shooting brake is :)
Trouble is, I want to order from eBay and they just seem to use the simple 253 codes...
