Does this vehicle have a sensor for the rear brakes?

The reason I ask is I have a check pad warning light but the fronts were changed 12 months/20000 miles ago and all pads look ok when viewed through the wheels.

I’ve assumed therefore that the rear brakes are at fault but when I’ve tried to order replacement parts including a sensor the CV dealer had told me there isn’t a sensor on the rears

Id imagine it would, otherwise how would you know pads were down . Also mileage means nothing on the fronts , it's all about how much braking it's done.

Most have just one on each 'axle' , so one side will not have a sensor. And some makes of cars have no sensors , they use a 'calculation' to tell you when to replace them , can I say BMW on here ?

Please see attached, which is rear brake layout supplied by MB parts. Top right corner is brake sensor which is greyed out, apparently because it doesn’t exist, but if so why have it on the diagram?
Fronts have plenty of meat on them when viewed through the wheel, obviously can’t see the back pad, these were only replaced about a year ago, 20000 miles.

I ordered a rear brake kit from MB but there was no sensor in the kit, surely a kit would have it in, not just discs and pads

A mystery indeed, especially as you can order rear sensor(s) from 3rd party suppliers
