Wanted CLS 350

I have a budget of max £10,000 and im looking for a CLS350.
couple of things that I prefer....
Bluetooth ,Sunroof , 7 speed auto , nappa leather..
must be mint condition.... and full service history.
I see a few on ebay, but less change getting ripped off here ( I hope)

Lots for sale on autotrader to, I've had my CLS nearly 2.5 years, fantastic car I am ultra fussy and managed to bag a fully optioned, ok bar the rear window blind model, one owner, FMBSH. Good luck with your search.

You don't say whether you want a petrol or diesel , mileage maximum or where you are in the country - all of which may help your search.

When I was looking for mine there weren't many with Nappa leather and a sunroof.

Diesel , central Scotland but willing to travel for right car...
ive seen one with 98,000 with all that I want plus more ( eg air sus) but no sure with the mileage. I would be doing 20,000 a year...

Great choice of car, the CLS. Just do the usual checks and you will be fine. Personally I would stick with a good dealer or even MB approved unless i could find a well referenced private one but thats just me maybe.

I chose the nappa, (luxury leather), option plus sunroof and rear blind amongst the boxes I ticked, We have similar tastes

As with any second hand car purchase it is all about a compromise , I didn't want a black car but I ended up with one as 90% of the other boxes were ticked.

As all CLS cars I looked at had leather then heated seats are a must , especially up here as it is no fun sitting in the car when it is -4 (or below) outside , Nappa would have been nice but not a deal breaker as was the sunroof. What was important to me ,after condition / mileage / history , was the HK sound system as was the memory pack and the Comand system.

I think I would have stayed away from the airmatic suspension as it can be very expensive to repair , although very good by all accounts, if it goes wrong whereas a coil spring replacement can be DIY if you are handy with the spanners.

I am getting 40mpg on the motorway with mine which isn't too bad for a two tonne automatic car. As the CLS uses wide rubber then it may be a cost issue if you are a 20k a year driver and the car is running on 19" or larger rims .

I spoke to the seller and he said it does need glow plugs which they will get done.

you're looking at 219 prices, but also keep an eye on its replacement, the 218. the residuals on these are dropping really fast as it seems no-one really liked them yet MB chose to punt loads out. this has been compounded by the 218v2 (update) released last year. imho the 218 in 350CDI guise is a fantastic car and drives better than the 219 (don't flame me!!!)

Nice spec, average miles for age of car, looks a good one on the face of it. For me the 219 is the nicer looking sleeker car. Money aside.
