Wanted W209 CLK 55 Amg cabriolet

Hi there,
I am looking for a W209 CLK 55 AMG cabriolet. I have viewed a couple already bit neither one ticked all the boxes.

I am a serious cash buyer and have come to this forum in the hope of finding a well looked after, much loved enthusiast clk for me to carry on caring for and enjoying for many years to come. Sorry if that's a bit cheesy, but I have had bad experiences with dealers and traders who just want to make a fast buck.
History, Mots and receipts are very important for me with this one as I would like the car to have a good history.

I have been watching these cars online for nearly 2 years now and am in a position to buy one so I need to make it the right one. I wouldn't say it's my dream car but right now of all the cars in my price range it's certainly at the top of my list. Saying that I would consider and SL55 but 2 of my friends would have to get their legs amputated to get in the back.

What type of radiator does it have, Valeo of Behr?
How many owners before you picked it up?

Hi Steve,
I have a limited knowledge on the subject but have seen on this forum many topics about the issue with the Valeo radiators. Someone made the point that most cars, if this was an issue, it would have already occurred. However, with such low mileage (certainly a good point) could this not be an issei that may arise in the future?
As for the 5 previous owners, at first that started the alarm bells ringing but then I guess with a car like this and the not so cheap Mpg it's quite common to see these change hands a lot.

No unfortunately someone got in there before I had a chance last weekend. Been out of the country for a while but still very much on the look out for one.

The night it was advertised I didn't see it til about 8.30, had a flight at 5am, and 2 young kids, so just couldn't get over to see it, sounds like someone had a result!

You notice how wildly varying the prices are?!

Yeah too right, looked like a nice one! So you're in the market for one as well then? Yes it seems that there is a large price range for cars with fairly similar mileage and age. Really I'm only looking at 03 and 04. But preferably 04 to avoid the Valeo radiator.

Yeah, if one came up, but as I say, people are varying their prices so much, and holding out as they seem to think they are worth more than they actually are.

I'd have a coupe if one popped up, but there's not much of either about.
