Recently brought a c200 and one of my friends has suggested looking into getting warranty? It's a second hand car and just wondering if anyone has done this. If so can you please give me info :-)

How old is the car?
Your car will have a factory warranty for the first 3 years.
When that warranty expires, you will have the opportunity to extend the warranty with MB, and continue to do so each year.

You used to be able to take out extended warranty on an un-warrantied car but it involves the dealer running an extensive inspection on the vehicle first.

Not sure if they still operate this though.

Other option would be a 3rd party warranty company.

Depends how you feel about it all.
Usually, warranty is just good for peace of mind but can pay for itself in some circumstances.

Many advise just putting money by, to use in the event of your car needing work.

Thank you for your advice it's a 09 plate. I just thought might be worth looking into. Ideally would pref a merc one as my car has a full service history with them :-)

Ive had MB warranty in the past , never used it , but defo a good piece of mind as when you go for repairs at MB it's paid for in it's first usage

No worries.
If you're really keen for a Mercedes warranty, maybe give your local MB dealer a call and ask them what the situation is and whether they can give you a warranty.
If they still offer Mercedes warranties, it may involve a lengthy inspection before they approve it.
I renewed mine as soon as the factory warranty ran out, meaning it just rolled over with no inspection required.

But I'm not 100% sure about the process on an unwarrantied car.

The other alternative is shop around with 3rd party warranty companies.
