Was I cheated?

I have owned Rover 75's in the Past and there are a few on 08 Plates - despite the Factory closing in 2005
Apparently they were send to and later returned from Bermuda and registered as 2008's
As Markjay indicated above eBay usually will not assist with Car claims
Suggest appealing to the better nature of the Seller as a first option. Then onto CAB
Good luck !

Well the dealer is a VAT Registered business and is trading for a business premises in Basingstoke:

Which is promising - he is likely to accept responsibility and offer refund.

...and he does NOT look like someone who is about to disappear:

Go and talk to him on Tuesday, I am sure he will be helpful and will want to get this resolved asap.

The states the engine size as 3500 cc. Shouldnt it be 3000cc.

The add says "only one in the uk", wonder what that's about ??

I actually asked about that and mentioned I could find several other R350s on eBay. The response was that the car had been for sale for some time and probably at the time of putting it up for sale no others had been. It probably actually also was the only petrol R350 at the time.

Assuming its an 06 Car whats it worth and what was paid ?

I paid 15.890£ including new tires.

Based on eBay search I would say a similar mileage car from 2006 running on petrol would be around 8.000£ in final trading price?

I find it strange that the V5 does not state that it was first registered in 2006. Register any used imported car to Ireland and the log book will have date of first registration. Also, Irish vehicles have speedo's in Km.

The dealer has hundreds of cars in stock, including plenty of very nice ones...I'm sure you won't have a problem.

I used to Import lots of Restored Lambrettas from India
When registered the V5 would typically state
Year of manufacturer 1976
Date of First Registration 2005
Previously registered Overseas
Non Transferable Registration
Nothing was ambiguous

Buying cars can be a stressful & somewhat risky business.
I hope you manage to resolve this to your satisfaction.

;-) Im sure the dealer would be more receptive to such a solution than full refund.
Any suggestions for something with a 3rd seat row?

Yes, very promising, judging by the stock & premises. The glass is certainly half full.
