Like the extra vents on the side for cooling

I put new vents on, the old ones the plastic had become "corroded" and those side vents aren't too expensive, so the old ones (which are stuck on and screwed on) were removed before the clean and the new ones sealed with some magic stuff (don't ask me what) and put back on afterwards

BTW, the car is now beautiful. I can't tell you what a difference inside and outside there is The car was very well cared for outside by Detailed, but the interior restore (which meant removing all the grease, and feeding / cleaning / general hokey magic stuff) makes it better than new. The extra detail this time has removed 99% of the scratches and marks. I had the front vent bits resprayed (but rear means taking bumper off, so a job for another day)

Considering the car is 8 years old (ok, so only 25k miles) it really is amazing ..

But, as it looks so good, my wife has made up some excuses to drive the car all of yesterday and today !!!

Yesterday, it was "She said: can you take my car to work and have it washed". "No, I need to take the ML". "Oh good i'll have the SL"
Today it was. "I said: Leave the mini, i'll get it washed", "Oh good, i'll have the SL, <eldest son> will be really pleased to be picked up in it"

Hopefully i'll get it back by Friday

What kind of product did you use on the tail pipes? I've tried solvol on mine after using a dremmel with brass brush to remove accumulated soot, but they are not great (unlike yours).

The CL's tips where very bad.The only way was to have them re-chromed, which meant cutting them off and re-welding them back on. They are actually stainless steel. they came back like new.
