weired clutch

Im having problems with my clutch...

the pedal wont always come back up and sometimes goes down quite quickly with out resistance untill its 2/3s ways down and other times its fine.

the juice is topped up and its all fine but its just occasional.

any solutions?

Bleed it or you could need a new master cylinder

Agree with above, new master cylinder needed.


An afterthought...........Did you need to top up the reservoir?........if you did, check first that the slave cylinder isnt weeping and therefore allowing ingress of air into the system.

right ok then thanks.

I have topped up the fluid but thats it so far.

should i leave the master and slave cylinders till i do an engine conversion?


im thinking possibly 1.8 16v turbo?

has anybody done this andknows of any implications or reason to not do it?
 
Koolvin added a turbo to his C180 Sport. I believe its still for sale so worth getting in touch although he no longer visits the forum often.
