R107 is a true classis and looked great in its time BUT to most women I have known (we are all in our 20s) have commented that its a "banger" when ever I have spotted one and said what a nice MB classic.

The 420 would be my choice for a V8 - the 300 is fine in a post '86 facelift car though if you want to be a little more frugal on petrol. I had a 350SL that always brought me compliments - a very pretty blonde friend borrowed it one sunny weekend for a trip to Brighton and she loved it - so did most of Brighton I imagine!

Yeah, but that one's a nasty colour-coded one. Simple and standard, white ones do look good.

PS: At least the one that sticks in my mind is a nasty colour-coded one, but IIRC that's a 300. He often has white SLs, so I may be talking about the wrong one.

Hardly a banger,maybe a little hollywood wives,but certainly not a banger....

People in their 20`s are too young to have developed a sense of what true elegance,taste or what constitutes quality may be.The overriding criteria for them is whatevers` newest,shiniest,or the "next big thing"....

I quiet agree, anyone that cannot see the Class and Style of the 107, should have the newest, shiniest, or next big thing, inserted where the sun dont shine!!!!!!!

He's still got it up for sale...when will he get the message to strip the bodykit off it and get it back to standard !!!

I think the 107 looks quite good in white....not a colour I'm a big fan of, so thats saying something

Hey, these were all very pretty/attractive looking women (I could think of other things to insert instead)...

Don't get me wrong I love MB classic cars W116/W126/W123/R107 etc. W126is my favourite.
