Recently bought some Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel Cleaner and man does this stuff stink!! When applied it turns Red but really does a good job but you just can't keep the smell from spreading around the house even if you wrap the bottle in plastic bags etc... Any advice for a similar quality product that smells of Roses??:thumb:

I use Bilberry wheel cleaner....it smells good enough to drink

All the products on the market at present that dissolve iron particles stink the same.
Iron X and Red 7 smell like Skunk ****, and like you say it gets up your nose.
I always use nitrile gloves when using Red 7 and dispose of them in the outside bin after use.
Good products though. Red 7 can be used on both wheels and paintwork as its PH neutral, and does not stain metal or rubber trim.
Look how it has worked on this Audi pure white A7, after just one application paint did not need claying and i went straight to wax.

I got lichen (moss like) growing in exactly the place where I rinsed away the Bilt Hamber- there are green rinse water runs ruining the drive now - it only appeared after I'd used the product - weird .

Is still 'defacing' your drive?

I use the same stuff, I store it in the shed because of the smell.

Try Kenotek Wheel Cleaner Ultra - smells of pineapple and does a pretty reasonable job of masking the nasty pong - and its GREAT stuff too. Really amazing.

Lives in my garage so cant be bad !
