What extras do you really need

Following a similar thread on the other forum what do you consider must haves as additional options go or would like to see on standard level of kit, and what, if any, standard equipment could you forgo...

I'll start
Must haves
1. Automatic gears. I really doubt I'd buy a manual again unless the automatic was as awful as 7g.
2. Heated seats. I had them in the shed. Even without leather, I would like them.
3. Speedtronic. I really rate this option.
4. Audio 20, the Aux in is really great for iPods etc.
5. Rear parking sensors.
6. Tinted back windows.
7. All round electric windows
8. Aircon
9. Sports suspension set up.
10. reach/rake adjustable wheel and seat quab tilt adjustments. Ideal to get a good driving position
11. Lumbar support
12. iridium silver paint
13. Full trip computer and full airbags etc
14 ESP - it can be useful.

Nice extras, Xenons lights, sunroof, not essential but nice to have, dual zone climate in a car as small as a C class seems excessive. Metal pedals, they looks nice, but the rubber ones are ok.

5 and 6 have taken an early bath to be replaced with automatic wipers and adjustable steering column.

Comfortable seat, good ride, good driving position and good ventilation taken care of, the only extra I need is an Ipod equipped Becker with decent speakers.

The rest is superfluous.

Aye, forgot reach adjustable wheel and height/tilt adjustment for the seats.

I could happily go without automatic wipers and lights myself.

Its the finest car money can buy, I just raise the electric tailgate, and the err, "bush" I find using certain advertised websites through a certain forum I frequent, just jump in.

Actually, that electric tailgate is a waste of time and I'd love for it to be deleted, but for the purposes of getting totty in the back, its unsurpased.

I actually saw a W124 hearse on Friday.

I thought developer had decided the 7g was going to be problematic and gone back to an older model.

I think someone fitted that without me knowing. Seems very biased in it's operation though.

It's the reason I would NEVER have a C or E class estate in black. Even my ML in black was dissed by my father-in-law as "looks like a bl**dy funeral car to me..."
Apprpriately, I did turn up at his funeral in it...!

I'd rather just a normal small one, less to go wrong and achieves the affect of getting the wind in your hair and letting light into the cabin.

Its a really nice extra. I've coped fine without, but its one that would lure me into a used car.

Silver paint is the correct colour option on those cars

Strangely no one on here has mentioned kit they have they'd like to have taken away.

Which is odd given how the Dacia thread a lot voted for the Dacia, which forgoes a stereo, electric windows and a lot of things we take for granted.
