What is this button for?

Flash said:
It’s known as the heater Booster System – it enables the vehicle to be heated up as quickly as possible. The Heater Booster system automatically activates if the outside temperature is below 8 degrees Celsius and Coolant Temperature below 70 degrees . It switches off again at higher temperatures.

To activate the Heater booster system from the Menu follow the below:

Settings Menu > select “Heater”

This will bring up “Heater Booster” Menu
Select one of following:

- AUTOMATIC
- Off With AC Off
- OFF

Which menu are you talking about and how do you select it?

Its for ex-BMW drivers, who are more impressed by the number of buttons than any actual "use".

(It turns on a light behind the button to indicate that the button is "on", press it again and the light goes off)

Just to be clear - on W210 at least, heater booster switches ON automatically below 8 degrees and is turned OFF if you press the top of the switch / red light comes on - for economy.

There's no heater option in my menus, but I have the switch as originally shown. I'd like to know how I can prove that the booster heater is actually working, if anyone knows.

so I have this? will check when red wine effet goes away...

hold the switch down for 2 seconds. Even with the car off it should work.
