Hi everyone
I had an epic MOT failure on the following items:

Offside Front Track Rod End
Offside Front Lower Ball Joint
Offside Front Upper Ball Joint
Nearside Front Upper Ball Joint

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with Q-Drive parts?
MB want just under £480 for the parts.
I can get all the above made by Lemforder for around £180 but if I go for Q-Drive and use our forum discount I can get he lot for less than £100!

I don't want to pay extra just for a name so will the Q-Drive ones be as good as the Lemforder ones?

Thanks
Sooty

Will get your M.O.T sorted, should be ok,but change the nsf lower ball joint and track rod end whilst you are at it,unless they are newish.

Thanks... I changed the NS Track Rod end last month with MB using a genuine part.
I will prob get the NS lower ball joint too as it will probably go soon as well if the others have.

So you think I should just stick to the Q-Drive? I don't mind spending the extra but only if it will be worth it

Q-Drive are just cheepo generic own brand parts, Lemforder are the real thing and from Germany, why risk it?

I also see your point... If I am going to have to pay to have it fitted and have the wheels re-aligned when last thing I want to do is spend the money again in another years time.

The track rod end is made by TRW they should be ok right?

In the end I decided to get all the parts made by Lemforder, last thing I want to do is change the lot over again next year!

The Nearside Front Track Rod End was changed last month so I got a new one for the Offside along with the top and bottom wishbones for both the front near and offside also.

Just over £312 all in from Euro Car Parts in Bedford.

Now just need to get the lot fitted, fully 4 wheel re-aliment and re-MOT'd... Gosh glad I have the day off tomorrow

Do a google quality search for the after market bits you are thinking about and if nothing bad comes up then fit them!!!

I wouldn't use qdrive. They are pretty cheap and nasty.

To fit the ball joint it will need to be pressed in. That's quite a bit to fail on the mot in one hit. When was it last serviced?

For a lower ball joint to fail it has to be very very worn!!
