What are the offset , if you have the correct ones you shouldn't need spacers.

offset 35
Offset: 35Rim Width: 8.5JStud Diameter: 112Rim Diameter: 18Number of Studs: 5Rim Structure: One PieceManufacturer Part Number: 116
reason is the front wheel bearing is pokeing out through the caps hole ??

8.5 on the front is pretty wide to be honest , is it not touching on your suspension ? If you space them out , will they not stand proud of the arches ( and hence fail the MOT ) ?

What size tyres are you going to put on them ?

front 225/40/18
rear fit fine 255/35/18
are these ok ?

Will a 225 tyre go on a 8.5 rim ?

I have 225's on the front of mine , and they are 7.5. Don't think they'd sit properly on a rim an inche wider.

sent them back and got a refund , now i will start again to look at some more ,try and buy some that will fit this time, lol,

225 40 18 is the reccomended size for a 8.0 inch rim, according to datsun lol!

225 on a 8.5 is fine, not even the slightest bit of stretch. Even on 9.5 they are not stretched to any extent that looks wacky or would be dangerous.
