My car is obsidian black, with pdf and G technique ceramic coating, up till now I have just been washing the car and towelling down with Quick detailer spray. It has been on the car 18 months now and even though it looks great and still beads, I was wondering if I should put another level of shine on the car and if so with what concoctions?
I do not think you wax and polish ceramic treated cars, but have seen "ceramic" waxes and sprays??

Any suggestions?

I thought you just use a ceramic rejuvenator , usually made by the original maker of the Ceramic treatment , in your case G Tech

Yes, I agree, it’s best to use the product recommended by Gtechniq to rejuvenate, reactivate or top-up the specific ceramic coating you already have.

You could use any other product but once that’s on top your ability to rejuvenate, reactivate or too-up the original coating will be reduced or remove (as there will be a coating of something else in between).

Thanks for all your replies, I will give G-Techniq a call

Hey buddy, a little late to the party.
If your looking for the best ceramic topper to add gloss, and enhance the coating, then look at Kamikaze overcoat V3, polish angel cosmic Spritz., both can be used as a drying aid too. garage Therapy 3 Cs, or 2 Sigma.

All are very good,

Thanks Lee, will check them out, I notice that Mequiars now do a ceramic detailer?

They do buddy, most companies do,
Other really good brands are Nanolex, Labocosmetica etc, most qd will also work fine along as they're not too waxed based.

My vehicle is obsidian black and I've had it re-detailed after the first job ten months ago. Interestingly, the combo of Kamizake products miyabe and zipang act as a sacrificial layer, particularly on black cars where any imperfections are more prominent.

What it meant was that the lacquer was largely protected, the car polish and the kamikaze re-applied.

Better than factory finish there, looks amazing.
