What type of TPMS does 2012 CLS have?

Hi, I am about to buy a set of 18” alloys, but can’t work out what TPMS system I have? The tyre valves look normal rubber but the car has a tyre puncture warning system. Is it something other than TPMS?

Yes, sounds like "tyre pressure loss warning" system instead of "tyre pressure control". The latter one has pressure sensors and usually shows tyre pressure values in the cluster (some markets have real wheel sensors but no pressure readings, market dependent). The warning system works on the basis of ABS/ESP wheel rotation sensors and normal tyre valves.
