Hi Guys,

Can anyone shed any light on what these things are in the boot of my W212 please?

Thanks for your replies....

I found out the larger item is the boot lid lift and close mechanism.

And agree, the other item is the amplifier for the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 sound system.

Where abouts was the pic taken from? From outside, with the boot opened, or is it an internal pic? This the boot operational mechanism in my 2014 E class 220 W212. Its directly under the rear window. You can see it operating by raising and lowering the boot manually. And the 2nd pic is what I think is similar to yours ( except it does not have what look's like a compartment in it, or a plastic cover on the horizontal section ) I took this pic from outside, with the boot raised.

The part number for mine is A2128200842. I took the pic from outside looking into the boot. The part is mounted to the under side of the parcel shelf.

My car has the convenience boot package, so opening and closing can be done by waving your foot beneath the rear bumper.
