what's the difference between these 2 audio systems in a 2010 W212?

MB audio gurus:
looking at a couple of W212s from 2010 and they have slightly different audio systems:

• system 1 has a PCMCIA slot in the headunit and a slightly wider display
• system 2 has no slots in the headunit and a less wide display

does anyone know the difference and can either of them do bluetooth audio streaming from a phone?
also are either of them easier to upgrade to DAB or carplay?

System 1 is COMAND NTG4.0 - which is a colour satnav system. DAB can be added and aftermarket CarPlay available so the bigger screen is important. It can do bluetooth audio streaming if it has the latest firmware on it (can be upgraded if it doesn't). It has an internal hard disk with the map. But the last maps for that system are 2017/2018.
System 2 is the basic Audio-20 system. It's not very good and additions are not possible - no inbuilt navigation either,
