What is the point if your going to scam at least make it look realistic. I.e just under market price of the car. Say 2K deposit required to secure sale. I really dont see what they are trying to achieve from that advert.

How much of a fool would you have to be to hand money over

Ebay needs to sort itself out I am starting to lose faith.

Ive seen loads of these dodgy, buy a 90 grand car for 6 grand auctions on Ebay over the past few years and they are all "private auction/contact the seller only affairs. how do they ever expect to get away with it? I mean, if you were in the market for such a car would you really be looking on Ebay????

One example - I've put my Merc on E-Bay for the 5-day auction. Starting price 0.99... Guess what? 16 hours left to the end of it, I have 7,800.00 GBP bid, 11 bidders, 9 watchers and E-Bay suspends my account. Then I receive e-mail, saying that I need to send a copy of my passport, a V5 and other documents to un-suspend my account.
That's done and now it's the third week I'm waiting to get my account back so I can sell my car...
