Out of interest, although I did get a bit bored, I managed 33.9mpg at an average speed of 55mph.

M25 is not the best of roads to test due to varying traffic conditions, safety cameras & speed limits on some stretches but my M157 touched a healthy 34mpg before I had to slow down to a crawl.

Will try again at higher speeds to check variances.

What's your best mpg on your AMG'S. 😁👍

(Killjoy mode) Thats not an accurate figure though - if you reset any car while moving then drive for 20mins it will give an amazing figure.

Agreed it’s not reflective of real consumption.

That said for comparison between several cars, resetting the trip on an empty motorway and driving at a fixed speed for say 10 miles removes many of the variables which affect routine driving.

Is 60 minutes driving okay, it does average reasonably well, can try longer and post up although it gets a bit boring though holding at a constant speed.

Best for me was 33.1mpg on the day I picked it up (journey from Bristol to Nottingham) M5/M42/A42, fast roads, no holdups and in the height of summer. Have seen close to that number since, mostly on French motorways, seems to be that European roads are the only place you can do a decent speed these days....

Yesterday Nottm to Birmingham and back. 145 miles, average speed of 53mph, mpg 31.9. Car was in Comfort mode going and Sport on the way back. Std M157 CLS63 S

Best i've had in my M157 is 29.5mpg heading across Germany on the autobahn with the cruise control @ 80mph - that was fully loaded heading south to Italy.
Daily average is currently 23.5mpg - mixture of town & B roads.

The best I got was 28.1mpg from 507 from Surrey to Birmingham.

The best in the Mrs W212 E63 has been the same journey but 31MPG.

Both of these were cruising at around 75MPH in C mode. It was spring.

Gosport to Bude and back just before Christmas.

That's pretty good 👍 what was the average speed?
Not sure on that it was over a year ago it was quite a steady pace in comfort mode as I'd just bought it
I did push on abit on the A46 🤣

Here's a proper long-term average from my E500:

It's not driven daily though; this is from a summer of mostly long trips with some local driving mixed in.

LOL not something I like to think about but did get 20.2mpg average driving back from PCS on thursday in my SL63. Steady cross country driving. Think the best I have ever had was 22
