Hi All

after the above for my wheels. Being 'careful' with my money I clearly want to pay as little as possible and get the best available :D . anyone have any for sale (75mm diameter by the way)

cheers

matt

They look worth far more than £40 in the flesh and don't look plastic at all. I added them to my car after admiring them on a loan CLK. Money well spent.

Porsche ones (colour as opposed to the standard b&w) are £103 for 4!

I've just bought a set from E-Bay, £24.99 plus postage = £30

If you do a search, the same guy usually has a few sets for sale each week.

OK so you bought the ones that I saw,,there are none on there today, well there is from the states at $39 plus $15 post, so not worth the hassle.

I see someone is selling domed ones, never seen those before

That works out at about £28 all in.
Import duty is payable over £18 though, if you are unlucky ;)

Really. A lot of hassle for something that doesn't cost that much in the grand scheme of things. Just checked mine, they're alloy, not plastic. Some of those on eBay are cheap plastic reproductions. You pays your money...

The MB ones are plastic, Im not aware of any new MB caps that are metal.

Correct, just checked mine, they have a metal appearance but are plastic. These came from e-bay but are genuine MB complete with MB part numbers & logos.

Russ

They are only plastic.

Just did a closer check on mine, i.e took one off. You're right, it's a very good metal look but appears to be plastic. I have seen sone awful repproduction ones on eBay but all the genuine ones work out around £40.

Thanks to those above for designing them so that they cannot be prised out/off.

Porsche ones have little holes so you can .. at least that what it appears to be. makes them easier to steal though

where from? These are original Porsche ones?

You can get them for £75, though still expensive!

I'll send you some links if you like. I bought a set of colour crested OEM Porsche when I had the 996 to replace the Carrera 4 ones that were standard.

The little holes are for removing them - quite handy but as you say they get stolen.
