I think this is what one calls "mission creep"

It all started with replacing a foglight lens, and thinking "It'd be much easier if the bumper was off, and it's only a couple of bolts"

I never like to see the screen wash bottle hanging forlornly under the wing. It reminds me of the bag for pee they fix you up with for a long hospital stay.

That's the overflow catch for the expansion tank. The screenwash bottle is up in the engine bay. :thumb:

Pretty much. Modern cars seem to wee over the floor instead...clearly standards are slipping :D

I just hope no one is looking over my shoulder as I read this....

Bit difficult to explain to other family members what is going on at MB Club on Sundays.... :D

Well, I fear it might be looking a little wounded for the PCS GTG, as it turns out the O/S wing is not virgin territory. :fail

The surface rust on the front wing mounting point is worse than initially appeared, but in dealing with this I uncovered some gently dimpled panelwork in the front corner that had been covered with a skim of filler. This is clearly historic as it's been with me for over a decade now, but IMO adds up to make the wing not worth saving. There's not enough time to source, fit and paint a new panel before the GTG, so it'll be a quick patch job on my part to see it through to winter when both wings will get replaced (the N/S is already perforated but looks ok until close up).
