Hi everyone, as per topic.

Where is the Fuel pump relay in my W124?

Is it an easy job to replace?

If anyone has one going spare that they want to sell then let me know!

(1994 W124 E220)

Thanks!

The fuel pump relay is mounted behind a flexible black plastic panel behind the battery. The panel is flexible so you can remove it without removing the battery!! NOTE carefully how it sits before taking it out! Behind this you will see 2 large units with connections. the front one is the ABS CONTROL UNIT , the rear one is the ENGINE ECU. On the left hand side of these units looking from the front of the car you will see possibly 1 or more small black or silver relays. One will be marked 4 zyl kickdown or similar thats the fuel pump relay. unplug it carefully and replace it with A NEW ONE Since its a crucial component and old second hand ones may be faulty its the best policy. The position of these relays seems to vary a bit from model to model and year to year but should be approximately in the area I describe. You will find opening the bonnet to its full vertical position helps access. see attached picture
