Hows it going guys? quick question my brother want a TomTom does anyone know of any special offers going before I pay £300 for a TomTom 500 from Currys?

thanks!

I bought my 700 from comet online, they were the cheapest by far... infact currys etc all said they wouldnt match any comet prices!

Hold on, if I don’t want the Bluetooth feature, Euro Maps and a remote control what’s the main differences between the TomTom700 and TomTomONE? Apart from £100…?

Depending on if you drive abroad it might pay you to wait till mid May as a new series of TomTom is going to be introduced. The 510 710 910 The largest one ( the 910) will have a 25 gig hard drive with all maps of europe and USA preloaded
Also preloaded will be all speed cameras. This new range is also an MP3 player and can store Photos. Have a look at Maplins they look great, :bannana: :bannana:

I have a "Tom Tom One" - I think its the cheapest one avaialable and is remarkable value for money - does everthing my £2k COMAND does and a bit more! It also gives the voice instrctions on time!

i think im going to get the TomTomONE, its simple and i know my brother wont be interested in the features the 700 offers over the ONE. The new range seem to be doing all the job a laptop/PDA would...

unless you really need the extra maps, save the money and get the Tom Tom One. I have one for the Nissan, it's much slimmer to carry around or to stow in the glovebox. The only major thing against it is the battery life is shorter on the One.
