Which shade of green?

Just bought a 2003 ML350 and the paint code is 816. I've seen this described as "Andradite Green," "Agate Green (also code 815)" and "Everest Green".

Are these just different names for the same colour, or are they actually different colours? If the latter, how do I find out which one is mine?

The paint code is the only reliable way to tell what colour it is.

Quite often its just "marketing speak" where the ad people use different names for the same colour in different counties where the car is sold. If you look at the MB website in the States for example you often find familiar colours with a slightly different name. As Shude says the only certain way is to use the paint code as it remains the same.

Routinely ignore the "colour name" as advertised, especially if it's a non-main dealer!!

Andradite Green nacre (mica)

Don't confuse it with code 815, that is different.
