Hi All,
My car is mercedes w211 2009 plate.
I need to change front tyres,
Previous owners had pirelli zero.
Size is 245/40/18

On ebay I have found
2X NEW CAR TYRES PIRELLI POWERGY 245/40/18 245 40 ZR18 XL 97Y UHP 2454018 B+A. Price £239

And

2X NEW PIRELLI P ZERO CAR TYRES 245/40 ZR18 XL 97Y MO 245 40 18 2454018 C+B. Price £269

What's the difference between these?

Or any other suggestions?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks All.

How much life do the rears have ?
What sort of mileage and type of driving does the car do ?

Using this car as a second car,
Monthly mileage between 200- 250 miles,
Mostly in urban areas, around my town,
Or some time use for airport trips,

Rear tyre life still can use for another 1000 miles.

Also next summer I'm planning a trip by car to Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

I’ve got pretty much the same car with some Goodyears all round now .
I had been buying them in sales until I had 4 in the garage and got them fitted to my summer wheels .
ASDA tyres might be worth looking at as well as the online guys like Camskill and Tyreleader .

The P-Zero is more a sport performace tyre..

You might have to start a separate thread on that trip buddy :)

As do the Kumho PS71 & PS91 & Firestone Roadhawk for the money..

I have never liked any tyre by Pirelli.

Goodyear F1 Assymetric 5 or 6 suited my W211 very well, they had excellent grip wet or dry, were quiet, comfortable and lasted 24,000 miles on the rear.

I have just ordered 2 Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 255/35/18 Fully fitted from National Tyres/Halfords for £305 all in. The the current Dunlop rears have done 26k and down to 2mm. Camskill price £130 per tyre plus shipping, then add fitting plus valves and balance Etc No brainer..... :dk:
