Ordered 12th May for delivery first week in August but I will take delivery on 1st Sept to get the new plate. Spec

Palladium silver
Black ashwood trim
Privacy glass
Premium package
Sports switchable exhaust

Spec amendable for a couple of weeks yet date tbc. I'm really considering amending the wheels for the black multispokes but rather like the std double spoke star ones. Also would have to get night package if swapping the wheels over

I think the multispokes look so much better than the standard ones +night package?did you manage to get a good deal on 1?

Yeah I tried a few dealers. Some offered nothing at all, some offered discount upto circa 5% at best and then 1 offered a deal, out of the blue, that blew the others away. So I jumped in

Deposit paid 13th May for delivery September - car was 'in the system' for August build but not configured. Spec is:

C63S
Polar White (same as my 507)
Black wheels (yeah I know...)
AMG Drivers Pack (do head to Germany on occasions)
Night Pack
Sports switchable exhaust (as if someone wont spec this)

Like Scott I can still change the spec but all I would do is add to it possibly but obviously trying to keep to a budget. Unsure about the Premium pack basically as I think the black roof looks better on a white car but then saying that, I didnt like the panoramic roof in my current Coupe as its heavy and reduces head room (but looks nice).

Yeah your right. Also seems you can't spec Burmester stereo individually too. The premium pack is quite comprehensive though:

Panoramic roof
Burmester stereo
Leather to dashboard etc
Programmable seats inc pgr
Ambient lighting
LED intelligent headlamps
Keyless entry and start
Powered boot closing

We had a bit of a talk about it when I was at mercedes benz world and it's simply to try and push resale values. It's difficult when customers come in for used car and they have half of the options they want. This system will eliminate that and push up the prices for ones with the premium pack.

One of the first things I noticed when I got in the new c63 was the nice leather dash - the thing is I don't know what the dash is like without the premium pack but it seems to indicate its leather in the specifications.

I don't know. The Artico covered dash is standard on everything from AMG Line upwards in the c class

Interesting point JBD on the resale value, makes total sense. I wanted the most things in the pack except boot lid (what's the point of that on a saloon!) so I'm all happy.

It is no cost true bud. But, if you specify metallic paint at £645 it adds the whole amount to the residual value, which of course you will never pay. So actually to spec metallic paint costs you nothing. DW is £845 so in actual fact it only costs you £200
