Who's placed a C63/s order ??

I went with diamond white - I see the comments about it being cream, but I checked out several other cars in dw at the dealer and couldn't say it's cream at all.

I'd have to say it's minor and maybe just in certain light. To be honest if it wasn't a pearl paint I might well have picked it but I just want to avoid the hassle if the car ever needs a touch up. Obviously hope that's never the case but had a cat slide off my bonnet and another car in the past be keyed so these things unfortunately can happen.

From my understanding it's extremely hard to touch up a car in Diamond White without painting large sections and trying to blend it in.

I'm sure I'll be happy with my 503bhp fridge ;)

im going to take out the minor damage insurance to cover for this eventuality - I have it on my current black w204 c63 and it's been well worth the money. I do like the polar white too - I had a flat white car before and it was no worse to keep clean than black and in fact polishes nicer than black too :). As you say, I think the both of us will be spending the time cleaning the leather!

Is that the one with the circle where your scratch is just a cm too large for them to repair?

I had this on one BMW. The cat scratches were larger than the circle but thankfully the guy who came out at that time was a third party company so he did it anyway. Another time though it has to go to the dealers and they were sticking to the rules fully. The thing was. Those two scratch fixes still came to quite a bit less if I was to pay for it myself than what the cover cost.

I figure it makes more sense if you call them out for stone chips and so on but I never bothered with those.

Hey guys.

Don't take my comments about polar white with any seriousness. Polar white is great. I have an affinity to diamond White because I have one already and It ticks my boxes. I also had mineral white on a previous BMW. I'm a sucker for the pearlescent thing.

Coming onto the 2016 model though. Pray tell, what is this all about. Pls send pm if preferred :thumb:

Yes that's the one - I've used it three times the total being much more than the cost of the insurance - fortunately each time it fit within the circle (I hasten to add none were my fault lol)

I'm curious about 2016 model too! I am assuming it's the anti-pedestrian thing they have on the S class

OK just checked and I can fill you in so here goes. This is just the stuff where I think it affects a C63 and not the changes to the other C class models

Styling

Chrome strip in exterior mirror changed to black

Chrome speaker surround changed to black for standard interior trims

Renaming of Agility Select to Dynamic Select

Interior lighting features now part of Premium Packages (Red warning lights in doors, illuminated cup holders, rear foot well lights). So these you used to get without Premium but no longer.

Air vents surround changes from silver to black

Driving Assistance package

This gets its own section as loads of changes here.

Distronic Plus becomes Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Stop&Go Pilot

"DISTRONIC PLUS is a radar assisted cruise control which also maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead in all situations. Steering Assist tracks road markings and the path of the vehicle ahead to keep the vehicle on track."

Lane Keeping Assist becomes Active Lane Keeping Assist

"Detects signs of inadvertent drifting out of lane and warns the driver by vibrating the steering wheel and, if necessary, triggers one-sided braking intervention."

Blind Spot Assist becomes Active Blind Spot Assist

"A warning light in the exterior mirrors flashes if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot. Autonomously one sided braking attempts to prevent collisions whilst changing lanes despite another car is driving in the blind spot."

PRE-SAFE becomes PRE SAFE Plus

"Initiates occupant prevention measures if a rear-end collision is imminent, including activating the hazard lights, reversible belt tensioning, adjustment of passenger seat positions and closure of windows."

New PRE-SAFE Brake with pedestrian detection

"When the danger of a collision with another vehicle or a pedestrian is recognised, PRE-SAFE[emoji768] Brake gives the driver a visual and acoustic warning. If there is no reaction, the system can reduce the vehicle speed autonomously - right up to full emergency braking."

New BAS Plus

"If a critical situation is recognised and the driver applies the brakes, BAS PLUS can increase the brake pressure ideally preventing a collision."

New Option - Remote Online

Remote Online enabled the vechile for Connect Me remote & location services for 3 years

I could write about this but have a look in the App Store** as you can download the Connect Me app already to see what it will allow you to do. I believe this is a free option at least on our cars because I have it listed on my order as no cost.

If you have the 360 degree cameras you can even drive your car using an iPhone app so you can pull it out of a car parking space to pick you up near a store when it's raining!... OK I lied, this one isn't true :P

Other changes

Comand Online only available in Premium Pack, not separately.

Burmester sound only available in Premium Pack

Fineline dark brown wood becomes dark brown ash wood

And that's it. So nothing major unless you have Driving Assistance where it's been improved a lot. The Online features should be cool as to me it looks like it beats what BMW remote will do on my 3 series currently.

** Other phone models are available but only poor people don't buy iPhones so I assume if you can afford a C63 you have a real genuine Apple iPhone. ;) There probably is an Android app though...

Be aware that some of these changes only apply to the standard C class and aren't applicable to C63. Anything from June 1st production will be 2016 model year

I tried to filter those out which weren't C63 related but maybe a few slipped in. Like these things like no more 17 inch wheels for lower end models or run flats.

And now you've revealed the informant ;)

Thanks for that - probably the only thing I'll miss which I'd like is the online stuff - I asked my dealer previously if it was included on my 2015 model and he says it was but now reading this perhaps not... Active steering sounds quite cool too but not something I'll cry about.

Did you order the Driving Assistance Package. If so your missing out the most but otherwise the changes are minor. As you say the Online features being the only other thing.

Maybe it's possible with a software update as the cars already have a SIM in them I believe?

I did order it because I like the blind spot and adaptive cruise - I'm not sure I care about the other stuff in any case. The price for getting it in June I guess.

Agreed. Those are the exact 2 reasons I picked that pack. I've got adaptive cruise on my BMW and when your stuck on a boring motorway it's a god send.

The BMW one will slow right down to a stop and do stop and go traffic as well. I think the 2016 will probably do that as well now but the 2015 I think needs to be 30+ and won't slow the car to a stop. But I could be wrong.

You'll be making us all jealous cruising around in your car next month while we have a while to wait. Though technically my car is going to be ready July but picking up Sept 1. Maybe I shouldn't wait?

I'm going to sit in your car for 2 months! [emoji23]

Can you register it. I take it out for a bit and then return it and you de-register it again? ;)

How about giving me your demonstrators plate for a bit? Hehe.

I have the adaptive cruise on the current w204 - it will slow to a stop but doesn't re-start again when the car in front moves again. Now I'm thinking I should wait another month to get the online stuff lol want to swap delivery spots? ;)

Or you just have my GLA and I'll have the C63S?
