Why does my car not have this…

I have a 2018 C220d estate AMG line estate. I have noticed that some vehicles of the same spec/age have this extra part in the centre which my car does not? Any ideas?

Could be a premium plus option , or the later half of that build year . My GLC doesn't have it 2018/2019

Ok so it seems that an 18 plate onwards (like mine) doesn’t have the touchpad, how very strange I wonder why it was removed?

So by that time afaik and as that linked thread indicates, the touchpad was a Comand with Premium Plus only option. My 2018 A205 which is AMG Line PP with Comand does have it. So not removed just reserved for the ‘higher’ specs. hth

AFAIK it simply came with COMAND Online (NTG 5.5). My 2019 car (which is a Premium, not Premium Plus) has the touchpad.

The pre-facelift W205 (2014-2018) had NTG5*2.

The facelift W205 (2018- ) had NTG5.5.
