After many years of 'Going Green', why have manufactures chosen 'Blue' for the latest technology ?
i.e. Blue Motion, Blue Tec, Blue Chip, Why BLUE ? :dk:

PS What colour will replace it ?

I think in Germany Blue is the new Green, if you see what I mean. Green conjures up car hating dark age revivers there, so not a strong marketing line for car makers.

I think blue is seen as clear, clean, fresh, natural... the sky and oceans etc..

At work euro 4 and 5 trucks use ADBLUE fluid to clean the cats so maybe name is from this?

Serviced a merc atego the other night and is also had bluetec badge on cab and was adblue equipped.
