Hi, just came back from a 2 week holidays and noticed that the windows (right front and rear) of my CLK 240 Convertible do not close completely after closing the door (if you remember this automatic feature allows the two windows to come down a couple of centimeters right before you open the door just to prevent the windows to make contact with the soft top, and they come back again to the fully closed position right after the door has been closed). Now the windows remain on the lower position but they don't come back to the fully closed posotion.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Was the battery flat on your return in which case a window reset may be required.

You push the down button until the window is at bottom, hold for 10 seconds then raise the window to the top and hold the button for 10 seconds. This should reset them

The same system is present on my CLK coupe, I had thesame problem after having a new battery, found out the windows need resetting, so I wound them all down then up again which did the trick, simple :bannana:

Well, yesterday I got home and did what someone told me one day.... many electrical faults can be fixed by disconnecting the battery, wait for 5 minutes and connect it again which is what I did and now it works. the battery wasn't bad when I returned, I guess it was just one of those days.....
Thanks for your advise.
