Hi All
I for some reason I think have made a boo boo. I have bought an Ozenda wireless router and a laptop card. My question is how do I connect my desktop pc to the new router do I need a NIC? Can I connect from my broadband modem to the adsl cable to the new router or via a dialup modem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ian

You will need a NIC card, doesn't have to be anything special, a standard one should be ok. Maybe you should check your PC.. as most if not all PC's over the last few years had a NIC installed as standard.

However,

It also depends on the type of router you have. I recently purchased a Belkin Wireless Router for my sister and the configuration asked me to hook the ADSL modem into the router which was attached to my PC. However, the modem cable wasn't able to connect to the router (can't remember, was something to do with the cables) and i ended up buying a Wireless Modem/ Router which has worked a treat.

Hope that helps.

Thanks chaps bought a NIC from PC world for a £5 and all up and running.
These wireless networks are wonderful. Great bit of kit too as recommended from PCpro.

Regards
Ian
