What option should I take disposing my CL203 V6?....

Pulling fuses isn’t always going to find the fault. I’ve had two r230s that suffered badly. One was down to an old Tracker battery, coupled with an alarm siren that was staying active, the other a faulty SAM that was being energised off the keyless go wire. Admittedly both cost around a £1k to track down, so perhaps not viable in a £1,500 car.

I guess the question then is, how did they track down the issues with the faulty SAM? Via ODB?

Why not go and have a chat with your local independent auto electrician?

Sorry no idea, I threw money at the problem. But, I’d hazard they either tracked it down the hard way checking which non fuse battery feed / split was staying active. Or (benefit of a good indie) someone has experienced it before and there was a hot list of suspects.

Randomly I saw something like this pop up on an advert the other day:

A bodge for sure but if it’s scrap heap otherwise it could be a solution for the battery drain issue when not in use!
