POLL: Wiring harness issues, W124 M104 etc

Just wondering if anyone has had the issue of the bio-degradable loom breaking down on any W202s here in the UK?

I was discussing this with somebody earlier, and although I have seen that a few early M104 engined C280s have had issues in the US, I can't recall any over here (Although there's bound to be someone, somewhere I guess)

Question being, has you car had the loom repaired or replaced?

So - if you own a W124 or W202 - please can you add to the poll :)

Thanks,

Will

Could you add another option so that the W124 group can be split into 2 groups, 320 and 300/24, as they both share the same M104 engine but the wiring is very different?

Also engines 111 suffered the same

My engine is 111 type,my star is W124 E220 and I have changed the wiring harness after the entire harness was burned

Hi Apial,

Don't think it's possible for me to edit the poll, it's not so much for each engine type anyway - E220/280/320/300-24 etc all can go into the W124 section.

I would basically like to hear from any W202 owners who've had wiring loom problems in the UK.

doubt 202 affected because problem was sorted by end 1995 on 124.

when was c280 available as I think problem was sorted by that time. ????????
