WIS help required - can't find a retrofit instructions

I normally am reasonably okay with the weird structure, and illogical assignment of parts and sections, in EPC/WIS (e.g. a rubber hose for the front door is listed under electrical systems, etc, etc), however this task is proving an insurmountable one ...

The insane Mercedes practice, of naming the same part differently in EPC and WIS is adding to the problem.

I need a retrofit WIS page for the boot power socket (A169 820 04 51) for a 169333.

Numerous searches for power socket; socket; outlet; cigar; plug, etc, etc, brought up nothing relevant.

The part is named SOCKET-OUTLET in the EPC (82-172), but selecting it and calling up WIS brings up the entire 82 section ...

I would be really grateful, if someone could post a doc number for this retrofit please.

PS I actually just want to see the recommended wiring harness route, as I already have the socket fitted, but with a recent [brake lights] mod, want to change to the stock wiring ...

Have a look in 54 Electrics. There is a 12v in there but I'm not sure if it's the one in the back?

Thanks! Just looked at (and printed) that - it's a generic power socket removal guide, which will be very useful (I always had to get under the mount to do that before), but unfortunately, not retrofit instructions for the rear/boot socket ...

retrifits are normally listed in a separate section for each model

A few retrofits I did on this car, electrochromic RVM, illuminated door sills, et al, were under their respective sections (68, 82, etc)?

There is no official retrofit for that, so no instructions in WIS. Look at wiring diagrams of the fusebox to see where it wires to

Thanks Richard!
I printed all seven wiring diagrams for the main fuse box this afternoon - glad to hear I'm moving in the right direction :)

What I really wanted to know is how the factory laid loom goes to the rear socket ...

I was beginning to suspect there's no official retrofit for it, thanks for confirming that, it is indeed the case.

I should perhaps just go with my instinct ... it's only a single wire after all.
