without changing gear consult workshop cla45

I'm getting the above on the dash after flattening my battery the weekend
the car will not go into drive or reverse
I've charged my main and auxiliary batterys they both seem fine
do I need to erase a fault code first to solve this?
is there a fuse I could check as well?

It will probably need teaching back in with a Star (gearbox). Happened a few times in the workshop.

when u say teach would this have to been done at mercedes or could I use a scanner such as a thinkscan s5

Use a Mercedes specialist with Star diagnostics. This guy comes highly recommended.
